Nintendo Direct April 2017 Roundup

Hey Guys, if you didn't watch it yourself, here is a quick roundup of all of the information given to us at today's Nintendo Direct! There's a HUGE amount of new content coming from Nintendo this year and I'm so excited to share it with you all! From new amiibo figures to celebrating 25 years of Kirby there is something for everyone coming this year. I'll categorize this by console that things are for to make it simple. First lets look at the Nintendo 3DS:

Hey! Pikmin

Hey! Pikmin July 28 - In his first 2D platformer Captain Olimar has crash landed the S.S Dolphin 2 on a new planet inhabited with Pikmin. You'll explore the planet alongside these cute little creatures finding seeds and treasure to refuel the good Captain's ship. Use the touch screen to throw pikmin and "team up like never before!" Ever Oasis

Ever Oasis June 23 - You must work together with Esna - a water spirit to help protect and grow the last water oasis in the world. Monster Hunter Stories

Monster Hunter Stories  FALL - Become a rider and bond with monsters to raise their potential and unleash powerful combos. Fly, Swim and crash into new areas of the map. Collect eggs to hatch new monsters and participate in turn-based battles with a party of multiple monsters. No word on Amiibo coming here for this one.

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters

Yo-Kai Watch 2 Psychic Specters FALL - This definitive version of Yo-Kai Watch 2 contains new exclusive quests, learn about the origin of Darknyan and befriend wicked Yokai like Unkeen. Culdcept Revolt

Culdcept Revolt August 29 - NIS America is bringing this highly popular Card meets Board game to the west to celebrate it's 20th anniversary. Containing Hundreds of cards leading to endless strategies in this fun mash up. RPG Maker Fes

RPG Maker Fes June 27 - An RPG creation tool to let you tell your stories online with other players. DLC includes crossover skins from Disgaea, Disgaea 5 and more. A Free Download called maker Player will let anyone play the RPGs you make even if they don't own the full version of RPG Maker Fes, and will be available from the e-shop. Miitopia

Miitopia 2017 - A quirky RPG where the "Darklord" has stolen the townspeople's faces and you are the only one who can restore them. Team Kirby Clash

Kirby's Blowout Blast

Kirby's Blowout Blast - Fight your way through 25+ 3D stages inhaling your enemies to gain power along the way. In stages that are bigger than those of Kirby 3D Rumble meaning the challenges are too! Wipe out your enemies to earn Bronze, Silver or Gold Stars.

Unnamed Kirby Multiplayer Action Game Holiday 2017 - Currently in development. Available in store and on the Nintendo E-Shop at release.

Bye-Bye Box Boy!

Bye-Bye Boxboy! AVAILABLE TODAY - Play as Qbby and complete puzzles alongside Q Babies who can help you do whatever it takes in this final game of the box boy trilogy. Solve more than 100 puzzles through 18+ worlds to destroy the black smoke once and for all. Use new powers and scan your amiibo's to wear fun character costumes. If you have save data from the first 2 games, you can play with gameboy or monochromatic filters. No word on the QBBY amiibo making its way here yet.

AMIIBO: 


3 New Link Amiibo (Majora's Mask, Skyward Sword, and Twilight Princess) are slated for Release June 23. This will bring us up to an astounding 11 different Link Amiibo. Is this getting to be a little bit ridiculous or are you happy to see yet another new Link?

Bayonetta, Corrin, & Cloud Amiibo - There are to be 2 versions of each of these Smash Series Amiibo, with some being retailer exclusives due out July 21. Bayonetta will see Red and Blue versions, Cloud will be his classic Final Fantasy VII and Advent Children versions, and we will recieve both Male and Female varients of Corrin. The alternate versions for each of these have "Player 2" as the headings after the names to distinguish between the versions.

3 New Splatoon Amiibo (Splatoon 2 Inkling Boy, Splatoon 2 Inkling Girl, Splatoon 2 Purple Squid) June 23. It's not completely clear if Squid will come in a 3 pack as it has in the past but it looks like it will be available as a single pack this time around as there is box art on the Nintendo Site which shows it that way.

Pikmin Amiibo - July 28th will bring not only the Pikmin game for 3DS but we are also getting a new Pikmin Amiibo featuring the Pikmin themselves this time.
