MSRP for it is $299.99USD which means if you're like me and live in Canada you'll be paying $399.99. For that you'll get the following in the box:
- The Switch Console Tablet
- The Switch Console Dock
- 1 A/C Adapter
- 2 Joy-Con Controllers (L&R)
- 1 Joy-Con Grip
- 1 HDMI Cable
- 2 Joy-Con Straps
There are a couple of pieces of information to note about the Nintendo Switch launch. There are 2 different bundles available at launch, both of which sport a beautiful matte finish. The first is The Nintendo Switch [USA/CDN] with Grey Joy-Con Controllers. This option is a very Sleek, Adult looking console for anyone who likes to keep things simple and monochromatic this is for you. The second bundle is the Nintendo Switch Neon [USA/CDN]. This is the same base console but instead of 2 Grey Joy-Con controllers you will get one Neon Red, and one Neon Blue Joy-Con. These are super bright and great for a pop of colour. If you're looking to jazz up your console display, this is your bundle! Both versions have all the same features (Parental Controls, Battery life, ports, online features etc)Whichever one you choose, it will run you the exact same price so the difference is only in what pleases your eye.
The second thing to note here is there is no software bundled in with the console. You will have to buy that separately, and there is not going to be many games on launch day, so unless you MUST play Zelda: Breath of the Wild, waiting a little while until the Switch library is a little fuller might be the way to go.
