In Depth with the Nintendo Switch

Hey there, I know it's been several days since I last blogged, but to be honest, I haven't had much that was newsworthy to share. I worked, got my car repaired, worked some more, spent some time with the family, and basically just did the day to day mundane tasks of life. As far as being online and working toward my goals for the year, I spent some time starting to plan out my streaming schedule and I've got a couple of ideas for blog posts in the works as well. However!! Today I do have some newsworthy information to share so here I am! Keep reading to hear my take on the Nintendo Switch!

I  have to say, I was pretty stoked for the Nintendo Switch to begin with, but having seen the Nintendo Switch Presentation [See it here!] I absolutely can't wait for this console to drop. I know a lot of people are bummed and there were aspects of the presentation that were indeed lacking (um hello Launch lineup can we have one please? No? Ok...well, how about Official console specs then...unfortunately, we didn't get those either.) Those things aside the areas the presentation did focus on looked like a whole lot of fun. Watching this Presentation lent both a sense of nostalgia and adventure into new territory for me. I think that Bethesda's Todd Howard said it best when he stated Nintendo Switch is both "Classically Nintendo and All New".

The innovation brought by the Nintendo Switch gives me a nostalgic feeling in that the concepts behind it are all taken straight from the Nintendo Consoles of yesteryear but they've been updated, added to and advanced to make them feel shiny and new. I was as hyped after watching the presentation as my son was at 5 months old when we brought home our first Wii console
