Hey everyone. with the release of Breath of the Wild, there is a bit of Zelda fever going on. I've made a couple of Haul videos showcasing some of the cool new loot you can buy at various stores, for both your Switch and yourself to help get fully decked out in Zelda apparel and gear. There are some really nice shirts, keychains and other baubles to satisfy your Zelda addiction. On my first Haul video I mentioned I'd post the Amiibo function in the description box, but when I started writing it up, I realized it was just too much to fit in the little box, so I figured I'd write it up here and just link to it.

Anyhow, on to the main feature of this post: AMIIBO FUNCTIONS!
The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild supports all of the currently released Amiibo, and all Amiibo Cards. Zelda related amiibo have special features and all the rest do the same thing. Sime Items are only available after certain progressions in the story such as getting the paraglider/beating a divine beast, which is a cool feature because it keeps you from getting higher powered weapons right at the start and keeps it interesting as far as scanning amiibos throughout your game progression.

Subsequent Scans will get you a chance for an exclusive item, rare items, and cooking ingredients.

Wolf Link arguably has the coolest Amiibo Function as he Spawns a companion to fight along side you in the form of Wolf Link himself. Wolf Link will have however many hearts your Wolf Link Amiibo has stored from previous saves of Twilight Princess HD. If you have never played Twilight Princess he will spawn with 3 Hearts.
Wolf link will attack any foe you attack, or those that attack you. He will eat raw meat that is dropped on the ground to heal his hearts, so make sure you use the "stay" command if you don't want that Gourmet Raw Meat snatched up!
Wolf Link will de-spawn if he runs out of hearts, you enter a shrine and I believe when entering towns as well, and can be respawned one time per real life day.
